I4U is a gadget news site with a twist. Actually, more than a twist – it’s a great concept and one that should suit a major portion of the gadget-buying (or merely -loving) public.

A different approach to gadget news

I4U has a novel setup: they track gadgets through the “gadget lifecycle”, organizing their news around the steps in that cycle. It starts with “Rumors” tab, then moves through “News”, “Reviews”, and finally “Shopping” where you can actually get the item in question. You can track gadgets as they move through each tab.

They added Daylife to their site to supplement their news coverage with a carefully filtered set of sources that complement their reporting.

Daylife enables total coverage

I4U is using our APIs to pull in highly relevant articles to broaden their scope and add perspective from our massive collection of best-of-the-web media feeds, from which they were able to choose a highly relevant subset that fleshes out their gadget sections.

We’re on all their main sections (minus the “Shopping” tab, which is all business, baby). Here’s an example of what it looks like in context:

We also appear in the right rail on article and other pages, powering the “hubs” that aggregate content around various topics.

Cheers to I4U, which has a small team with a lot of talent. Glad to be working with you, guys.
