First you start getting things about sales positions that are completely bogus ... Then you get messages that say, 'Do you need money? Click here for government subsidies.' Then a couple of weeks later you start getting e-mails not even in well-written English.

Years ago, you would never have had this luxury. You would have worked with a headhunter ... Now with the Internet, you can do all this research, but there is this little percent of bad people out there who are trying to prey on people.

I got spam about taking forensics courses and things like that. Then I got something about being a radiologist ... I worked for a medical malpractice attorney, and that's where my experience comes from and my resume reflects that.

Joblessness is up. We are in a very tough job market. It makes people even more frustrated when they get this kind of junk and they are trying to sort the wheat from the chaff, but on the Net, the wheat is the chaff, too

We're definitely seeing an increase in the amount of spam targeting work-from-home scams and money mule-type scams in this economic environment with folks looking for jobs ... If it seems to be too good to be true, more than likely it is too good to be true. Make sure you have your guard up.
