Approval for local meals tax in Andover

After failing by eight votes in August, a 0.75 percent local-option restaurant meals tax was approved by voters at the Oct. 7 Special Town Meeting. The tax, estimated to net the town about $207,000 in annual revenue, passed by a 443-295 vote. Full Article at Boston Globe
