Weyerhaeuser Co. reported a third-quarter loss of $56 million, or a loss of 26 cents per share, which compares with a loss of $3 million, or a loss of 1 cent per share a year earlier. Sales plummeted to $1.4 billion from $2.1 billion in 2008.
