Some at UI shocked at cuts; layoffs expected

Many at the University of Iowa came to expect another budget cut, but 10 percent that came as a shock here. Gov. Chet Culvers call on Thursday for an across-the-board 10 percent cut by July 1 could cost UI about $23.5 million. Full Article at Iowa City Press Citizen
