GHEORGHENI, ROMANIA: A girl is seen in the reflection of her horse's eye as she speaks to him during a contest where the best 25 Lipizzan horses from Romania compete to select the best mating ones, in Gheorgheni, 14 October 2006. The Lipizzan is a horse breed that was selectively bred for royalty about 400 years ago. Fast, light horses were needed for riding schools and for military purposes, and were produced by crossing Berber and Arab stallions with Iberian mares. Around 300 Lipizzans are bred today in Romania most of them in the central region of Transylvania.
