BEIJING, CHINA - FEBRUARY 2: A man views dresses and dummies in a closed store at a clothes market February 2, 2007 in Beijing, China. Most dummies at Chinese shops remain stick-thin among the debate upon underweight in fashion industry. The fashion federations of France, Italy, the United States and Britain have decided to discuss the controversy over ultra-thin models. In the latest moves to combat eating disorders and the influence of ultrathin body types, some countries have taken cautious measures to prevent the use of skinny teenagers on the catwalk. Italy's government and its fashion chiefs have signed a pact aimed at keeping models who appear sickly thin off the catwalk by requiring them to prove they are in good health. Spain is leading the way with legislation to order shop window dummies to fatten up. The agreement between retail chains and spanish health ministry will see female dummies deemed too thin gradually replaced with size 8 (European size 38) mannequins, according to reports.
