Eight members of congress and activists were arrested for civil disobedience while bringing attention to the deteriorating humanitarian crisis in Darfur, Sudan. International aid groups helping Darfurians were kicked out of Sudan and accused of spying when the International Criminal Court brought charges of genocide agains Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir in March.
