Their third day of cross-examination of Talansky -- a Jewish-American financier who in May testified he had given Olmert vast sums of cash to finance election campaigns before he became premier in 2006 -- was especially harsh. The investigation is one of six pending corruption probes against Olmert and has provoked widespread calls for him to resign.
