Homeless teen Kenesha Hughes listens to her iPod at Hope Street Shelter for homeless teens before heading out job hunting for the afternoon Tuesday Dec. 22, 2009 in Minneapolis. Hughes has been at the shelter for more than 3 months after leaving home because her mother kept stealing money from her - money earmarked for college. Hope Street Shelter has 16 emergency beds for 16-21 year-olds and has to constantly turn other homeless teens away. Social Service agencies estimate there are about 1,500 homeless teens in the Twin Cities area and fewer than 50 shelter beds to serve them.
