National Hockey League commissioner Gary Bettman arrives at the U.S. Federal Bankruptcy Court in Phoenix, Arizona, September 10, 2009. The National Hockey League and Canadian billionaire James Balsillie continue to battle in court, arguing over whether Balsillie's bid for the bankrupt Phoenix Coyotes team should be included in an auction set for today. Balsillie, the co-chief executive of Research in Motion Ltd, increased his bid for the bankrupt Phoenix Coyotes ice hockey team Monday by $30 million to $242.5 million, court documents showed. If Balsillie wins the bid he plans to relocate the franchise to the Canadian province of Ontario. In May the Coyotes team filed for bankruptcy protection.
