During a press conference, Ghosn announced a joint venture beween Renault, Nissan, the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) and the French Strategic Investment Fund (FSI), under the patronage of the French government, which would focus on advanced research, manufacturing and the recycling of used electric vehicle batteries.
