Trying to figure out how to beat Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson to win a championship, that's a lot of pressure ... I like pressure. Pressure is good.
I've always been a guy who likes to be part of it ... Whether there's pressure late in the race battling someone for a win, I enjoy that. I enjoy the pressure and trying to step up and do the best that I can.
I'd rather be me in the Chase right now then them trying to figure out how to beat me at one of my favorite tracks
We just found out that they are overnighting a pair of autographed racing gloves from Clint Bowyer
All the trips Carl's made back and forth across the country, and of course, David Ragan, Clint Bowyer, and others did the same thing. But those trips, that's a young man's game to be able to travel all night and get in the race car that you haven't been in, in some cases, and drive it to great effect and trust what people have done when you weren't there. It's amazing.
That's a great win, to hold off the 18 [Busch], as strong as he's been all season ... If I've got to get beat by somebody, a dirt racer from Emporia, Kan., [Bowyer's hometown] is one of the best. But we'll be back next year, and I hope Clint will, too. There's no shame in giving 100 percent and finishing second. That's all we could do.
