Stephen Brown, a marketing professor at Arizona State University, cited two examples of "hate sites" created by customers unhappy with companies: Untied.com for people griping about United Airlines, and dellhell.net, for those with complaints about Dell Computers. "Whether it's positive news like 'You should try this new Sony HDTV. I love it. I love it' or negative, it can be spread to thousands and hundreds of thousands of people" Brown said. So the attention to the customer has got to be paramount."
