The LDA is committed to delivering a 2012 legacy now and I am delighted by the amount of interest we have already had from young people wanting to use this centre. We hope the medals in Beijing will have a similar effect on cycling that Wimbledon has had on tennis participation and people will take advantage of this wonderful facility. 
I can't tell you how delighted I am to be here to officiate the opening of what I think is London's first real example of legacy from the Olympics. I'm very pleased that the London Development Agency has invested so much in this project and I hope people will get down here, get on their bikes and get ready to star in the 2012 Olympics.
