Dr Kabadi added that his visit this week to the affected areas showed that most patients were from slums and congested residential areas. "This causes hygiene issues. We found a lot of breeding sights such as unused tyres with rainwater collected in them." He said that since the symptoms of dengue and chikungunya are similar, patients were tested for both.
