Fashion designer Marc Ecko, who bought the ball for $752,467.20 at auction in September and asked fans in an online vote whether he should mark it with an asterisk, told the Hall he plans to have it delivered before April 1, spokesman Brad Horn said. "Where in the museum it goes is truly something that our curators will determine" Horn said from the Hall in Cooperstown, N.Y. Ecko is having a "specialty case" built for the ball, said Laurie Baker, a spokeswoman for the designer.
