    UPS may be ready to buy some other companies in the coming year, the delivery company's chief executive told Bloomberg News last week. "We're strengthening ourselves in emerging markets, the Middle East, Asia, areas where we think we can invest and grow" Scott Davis said. UPS, which has its main air hub and airline headquarters in Louisville, will focus on buying assets that will help its freight forwarding and supply chain operations while expanding its capacity for delivering medical products, Bloomberg reported.
