Labor's art spokesman Ben Wyatt says it appears a Department of the Arts officer rang the Ledgers to explain the change, when it should have been done at a higher level. "I think it's unsavoury, insensitive and he should have exercised a bit more thought before he went about this" Mr Wyatt. "The Ledger family (had) offered to donate memorabilia ... it was something they were emotionally committed to.''
