Richard Mulcah, CEO of AusVeg, which represents Australian vegetable and potato growers, recently said he was dismayed he could not find an Australian packet of frozen vegetables at a Woolworths store. "That sort of thing is increasingly happening ... If you got into Woolworths or Coles, the generic brands are generally coming from the Netherlands, China or New Zealand, which is a fairly significant thing.
