Collectively, Cuccinelli referred to the trio as “McBollinelli” while he waved a broom at a rally on Sunday, according to Richmond-based WTVR-TV. "All three members of the GOP statewide team -- Bob McDonnell, Bill Bolling and Cuccinelli -- hold double-digit leads in the polls over their Democratic counterparts" reported WTVR-TV. Last week, Cuccinelli came under fire, including a denouncement in the Washington Post, for his comments to a Norfolk-based newspaper that “homosexual acts” are “intrinsically wrong.” Earlier in the campaign, McDonnell, the current state attorney general, was lambasted for his 1989 graduate thesis in which he wrote that the government should “restrain, punish, and deter” homosexuality in the interests of conservative family values.
