A Russian warplane dropped a bomb on an apartment block in the Georgian town of Gori on Saturday, killing at least 5 people, a Reuters reporter said. The bomb hit the five-story building in Gori close to Georgia's embattled breakaway province of South Ossetia when Russian warplanes carried out a raid against military targets around the town.

Most people would think that straight-ticket voting would benefit the party in the majority ... But there are a number of races out there, particularly in the southern part of the state, where people are still going to be used to looking for the opportunity to vote straight Republican. Not having straight-ticket there, having candidates run on their own merits, is going to help us enormously.
