CLEVELAND -- Manny Acta is nearing the end of his first month on the job as the Indians' manager. And though the Tribe is still a long way from Acta's first official game at the helm, he's certainly kept himself busy.

News: Mets Hire Jauss to be Bench Coach

Jauss also worked as a bench coach for the Red Sox, Dodgers and Orioles. Rosenthal says the Mets chose Jauss over Eric Wedge and Bob Melvin. Jauss traveled to New York in late October to meet the Mets.

The Rays today announced that they have hired Derek Shelton as the team’s new hitting coach. For the last four and a half seasons, Shelton served as the hitting coach for the Indians under Eric Wedge.
