IMO, 2/$20MM is the highest the Yankees should go on an offer to Damon. if it must be more than a year, i agree. personally, don’t want to go more than one, so would probably offer him arbitration myself. even if he accepts, would rather have him at 1/1...

… by including Sergio Mitre news in a thread about the Cy Young award. I can see how that might have weirded some people out. For those who asked, the option on Mitre was $1.25 million so the Yankees were just making a fiscal decision in declining.
