Losing Gionta would be a major blow because scoring has been a concern for the Canadiens, who have been shut out in two of their last three games and have only seven goals in five games ... There has been little in the way of secondary scoring after the No. 1 line of Mike Cammalleri, Scott Gomez and Gionta. Tomas Plekanec is the team’s leading scorer, but the Canadiens can’t find linemates to complement him. Ditto for gritty third-line centre Glen Metropolit.
