Newly-appointed Renault F1 Team driver Robert Kubica has been confirmed for Rallye du Var at the wheel of a Clio Renault Sport R3 Maxi. The event takes place from November 27th to 29th and serves as the closing round of the French championship.

I am very happy I will be joining Renault in the 2010 season ... I feel I have a special connection with this team because in 2005 I won the World Series by Renault. This gave me the chance to test with the team in Barcelona, which led to my debut in Formula One.

I had a reasonable start, I was trying to find a good line through the chicane. I had Sebastian in front, so I was pretty clean as I didn't want to get tangled up with him. Both of us got through the first chicane, I was following Sebastian into the next, but then had a racing incident with Robert Kubica
