What's my passion? The same thing it was in the Army - taking care of my boss. I really feel fortunate to work out here with the people from the food bank. The staff is just excellent.

After I sold my business, I was looking for something to do ... I became acquainted with the food bank and started volunteering there and have stayed around until they want to run me off. It's been a good experience.

It's been tremendously impressive ... especially seeing the kids come here. They're not here just to be on television. You can see they really believe in what they're doing.

It allows everyone to see the good in the people of the South Plains. That's one of the reasons I believe we're fortunate to live where we do. People here open their hearts and their pocketbooks to help each other all the time - and especially this time of year.

I think it's reasonable for her to be in the top 15 of the series when she's running. Obviously, maybe the first few races, we'll see what that brings ... She's got to get in there and get used to the cars. Hopefully, everybody will remember that and won't be so quick to judge, which is easy to do.
