In Washington, D.C. the mayor has called out the national guard to try to get the streets opened up ... Everyone is working real hard at the airports … it will probably be a few more hours before the flights are back in the air again.
Even during hurricanes, it doesn't seem we have that many ... When you see almost 100 flights cancelled out of almost 500, that's a big impact.
This is really targeted in one part of the country ... Flights going to the upper Midwest, like Detroit, or (South) like Houston or Atlanta, ... those flights are not affected.
If you look at countries such as Australia, it is miles ahead of us. It is using automatic authority to carry functions ( which prevent someone without clearance to travel from boarding a flight) on all flights.
