It's Spring Training, man ... Guys are going out there to get their work in, get their repetitions, get ready for the season. There's no time to start throwing balls at people and clearing the benches. There's no time for that in Spring Training.
I didn’t see a problem ... There’s two guys going to where they need to be and we collided. He got me good, man. He Charley-horsed my leg. I can still feel it. … My leg hurts every time I squat. Then he threw a ball at my head.
I don’t see a reason for it ... Guys are going out there to (get) their work in. There’s no time to start throwing balls at people, clearing the benches. There’s no time for that in spring training.
Hell, he got me good, man ... He Charley-horsed my leg. I still feel it. He almost clipped me twice. My leg hurt every time I squatted, then he threw a ball at my head. He's up two-nothing on me. ... He got me better than anybody coming around third. I ain't been taken out like that in a couple of years...
We were hitting him around a little bit and the next pitch was just uncalled for in that situation
This is about us being really proud of our revamped pitching mechanic ... We think we've captured the essence of what it feels like to be on the mound. We're proud of the fact this is skill based. You're going to have to be good at the game of baseball to win this million dollars.
We're using the analogy around here that there are 20 padlocks on the door ... Now, there might be some people out there who think they can still figure out a way to get around it. But the winner really is going to have to pitch this perfect game.
