We knew we could give ourselves some second and third chances by just pounding the glass
I thought defensively we did a solid job of holding those guys down a little bit
The one thing that was a struggle was he tried to handle the ball too much against double teams ... A couple of times he fell down. A couple of times they took it away. He'll learn from that. He's an extremely bright kid.
Anthony really is a good ball handler, but he tried to dribble it through people ... Sometimes we were able to score out of it and several times turned it over. He'll learn as a freshman point guard that he doesn't have to be by himself. We have to help him a little more.
We didn't handle the double teams very well
They have a lot to learn, how to handle this ... It was a great environment. VCU put the pressure on and we didn't handle it like we were supposed to.
The health of our team is not very good ... We're a lot more short-handed than we want to be right now.
We just weren't the same team in the second half
I don't even want to count.
I don't want to see Toarlyn's minutes drop too much
In the last two weeks, they've gotten a lot better ... I don't know if they're as offensively talented as they were last year, but the way they run the floor, the way they pressure their defense, they may have cranked up another notch in being able to turn people over and play with heart. That was very ...
I think Ron is showing great leadership on the court. The energy he brings is exactly what we need
He just has the ability to get into places you don’t think he can get to
When you have two ball handlers out there, it really helps you take care of the ball and make plays ... I really like the two-guard lineup.
I think Collins right now is getting close to being a consistent 30-minute type of player. He makes a world of difference
We’ve got a lot on the table
Toarlyn is starting to get more and more comfortable
We haven’t lost a game when we’re positive in the assist-turnover ratio
Then he makes a play out of something that looks like nothing is there. Even as a coach you say, ‘Wow, I didn’t see that.’
We're 5-0 when we don't turn the ball over ... we haven't lost a game when we're positive (in) assist-turnover ratio
I'd still like to get a little bit more from our wings
I don't want to see Toarlyn's minutes drop too much -- there's 80 minutes in those (two post) spots
We’re 5-0 when we don’t turn the ball over ... and when you put Blake at the two and you have two ball-handlers out there, it really helps you protect and take care of the ball and make plays ... So I really like the two (point) guard lineup. It some ways it affects us defensively, but I think the pluss...
Once we settled into the game and switched into a little bit more of a zone, it changed the game a little bit ... It got momentum going on our side.
