Ariz. The mind of Heath Bell is, to say the least, an interesting and different sort of place. Imaginative. Creative. Playful. Decidedly nonlinear and nontraditional in its thoughts. But, oh, if only a CT scan could show everybody what’s going on up... Full Article at San Diego Union-Tribune

His minor league stats prove he has stunning control (1.94 ERA 361/52 K/BB ratio) and the move to the outdoor park should help. This kid knows how to pitch and it won’t be long until Heath Bell finds his way onto a contender. The 25 year old had an... Full Article at Fantasy Baseball Geeks

He was loved in his locker room ... He was a pleasure to have. Always a fun guy, upbeat, even when he was hurt. If he's going to hang it up, I'm sad. He's such a great guy. If he thinks that's the best thing for him, I wish him well.
I like the number 21 and wanted those numbers -- 1.2 and 2.1
I think the changeup will be there for me ... I feel like I can throw it in and out. I've talked to [manager Bud Black] Buddy and [pitching coach Darren Balsley] about it. Now we've just got to figure out when to use it.

I want to be able to throw it more than four times. I think I need a third pitch, especially when I'm facing a team for the second or third day in a row, or when I face them a lot
I’ve learned a lesson to never name names or corporations
C.Y. (Chris Young) and Eck (David Eckstein) are my filters

I’m not what I am on the field
I get two or three sheets of updates a month

It was a dream come true. It was fun to be that guy in the Major Leagues. I had done it in the Minor Leagues and in college ... I love it, you can play every day ... it's like you're a position player. It was something really cool and awesome. I had a fun time. I'm excited to come back as a closer and d...
People told me that last year was going to be hard because Trevor was gone ... I actually think this year will be. I was an All-Star, led the league in saves and now I've got to do it again. It's put up or shut up. I feel like there's a lot of room for improvement for me.

We ended the year very good and everyone has picked us to be last ... It' nice to go to Spring Training with a chip on your shoulder.
This is an unbelievable field ... I put my 6-year-old son on the field and he asked if he was going to be able to play on a field like this one. He says it looks like PETCO Park without the stadium around it.
