I was proud of our players ... This is a good football team. I liked the way we approached the year. They did a great job for us and continue to show toughness and courage but we certainly didn't win the game. They (LSU) are a good football team. They have got a lot of good parts.
They did get to him, particularly in the second half ... I think that caused him to not look down the field sometimes and certainly made a difference in the game.
We had our chances in the game ... When you’re playing a really good team like this you can’t give up a huge punt return and turn the ball over. I think the turnovers were the thing that killed us.
It was a huge turning point in the game
That was a huge turning point in the game ... We had guys right there, and he made a tremendous run. We were trying to get the ball punted to the sideline, but he missed it and punted it to the middle of the field.
I’m proud of our football team. It’s obviously been a tough week for us, but we did a good job in preparation ... I thought we practiced well all week long and our players came out and competed hard and stuck together as a team.
We got beat by a better football team ... I am proud of our football team. It obviously has been a tough week for us, but we did a good job in our preparation. ... Our players came out, competed hard and stuck together.
I was even surprised a little bit at how much they threw the ball in the first half
It doesn't score any points for us, but it certainly gives us confidence. We feel like we're a real good football team. they're a good football team. Let's go play. We're real excited about it. This is why we're here. This is what we want to do. This is what it's all about, go playing huge games with a ...
Garrett would have wanted us to play
This is what we want to do ... This is what it’s all about, playing huge games with a lot at stake. It’ll be a lot of fun.
I learned my first year here that a lot of these games are decided by little things
We’ve certainly improved a lot as a football team since the Alabama game
I feel good about where we are as a program, particularly when you have a recruiting class like we have that the majority of them are redshirting and you see the ability that we have
What we want to do first and foremost is look forward, not look back
To the outside world we will take the field without number 88
We have a game scheduled to play
Moments like this ... make you realize just how insignificant wins and losses can be and how important people around you are. Garrett was important to all of us. Garrett embodied everything good about this football team, the university and this state. He is a kid any parent would be proud to call their ...
He’s been very, very productive
As his parents have shared with us, Garrett would’ve wanted us to play
We have a game scheduled this weekend ... At the Uekman's request, we will play that game. As his parent shared with us, Garrett would have wanted us to play. He would have wanted us to compete. He would have wanted us to play passionately with everything we had. With your support, we will do just that.
he was always the special teams coordinator and the head coach. He never gave himself enough time. Now that he's here, I give him enough time for the preparation.
