Mitt Romney today will pick up yet another major endorsement of the week when South Dakota Republican Sen. John Thune endorses him at a campaign stop in Iowa
Over the course of the past several months, I've watched the campaign and seen a number of the debates
I feel that when it comes to his record, his statements, when it comes to issues Christian conservatives and social conservatives care about, I think you'll find that he (Romney) is someone who is right on life, on marriage, on the Second Amendment
He, in my view, is the most electable person we have
These endorsements I don't think mean a lot
I appreciate the important role that you play in our political process
I'm just happy that you would accept my endorsement with congressional approval ratings at like 9% in some polls
It's going to take the right kind of leader to get us out of that hole. And that's why it's so important that we nominate somebody that can go into that campaign, toe-to-toe, face-off with this president and talk about a different vision for the future of this country
I think now that we have had an assessment, over the past three years, it's pretty clear that that hasn't worked out so well.
Mitt Romney has shown throughout his life in the private sector, as leader of the Olympics, as governor, and in this campaign that he will not back down from difficult challenges
If I had resources like some of these guys, it would make sense because it just removes any doubt
Clearly, you have meetings with government officials and business people all the time, and you have access to a lot of information
I know there are still a lot of people out of work, who would love to have jobs and can't find them
I want to have somebody who’s a principled conservative and who can articulate our vision effectively. But I also want to make sure that we’ve got somebody who can win in ’12
Even now, while they're up against the final deadline on this super committee, the president is nowhere to be found, traveling abroad
