It did ... It made me realize coach Sean Miller doesn't play around.
I spend a lot of my time with patients, educating and answering questions; many times I have to give the short-ended version or the patient forgets what I said once they leave the office ... With my blog I can now post a more full explanation and the patient can go back and read it any time they want.
It made me realize what was going on, that coach Sean Miller don't play around
We're trying to be smart with our practices
At every stop in his career, Sean Miller’s teams have had a propensity for aggressive man-to-man defense and a tough-minded approach to winning basketball games
We give up some height with certain teams and you can make the case that that would hurt us ... But one of the things that's difficult for the other team is they have to match up with him on offense when he's at the four.
And that's generally what happens with guys ... He had a great opportunity as a freshman, built on that opportunity in the offeseason, played in 38 games a year ago when he experienced tremendous pressure and now he follows that up with a great offseason. Now, he's a junior and I think you see a very es...
When Solomon's at his best, he's a jack of all trades in a very positive way for us ... He's an excellent passer and in addition to making clever plays, he's cut back on his turnovers. While he's helped us in the past and made good decisions he's sometimes made bad decisions which negated his ability to...
One of the things we have to do is be a really smart offensive team, no turnovers, and try our best to move the ball
I don't think our team really knows who we play after NAU
Josiah was a big difference ... He played his best game since he's been here and we have to keep him heading that same direction.
The one thing that this game provided our team is a lot of driving opportunities, which sometimes can be our team's strength
It's always hard to win on the road in college basketball, especially in places like this
For us, we move from one day to the next, and from one game to the next ... We're not a Top 10 team in search of marquee wins. It's only the end of November and there's a lot of basketball left. We're hopeful this is a sign of good things to come.
I'm happy to be participating in this event once again ... The tournament last year was a very enjoyable experience, not just to raise awareness for the battle against heart disease, but to honor Skip's memory in a competitive way. I am honored to be invited again and am definitely willing to support th...
I am concerned with confidence
If you think about that energy of (NMSU's) offensive rebounding and (creating) turnovers ... it's going to be a great challenge against a terrific team, a team that I have no doubt will be in this year's postseason.
I don't know if we're expected to win. I think it's going to be a just a really, really hard game
He’s either going to have to improve and get the job done in his third year with us, or we’re going to have to move in another direction
This is the best team we’ve played in terms of getting offensive rebounds ... As much as you are concerned with McKines as a player, you’re really concerned about him as an offensive rebounder.
I am certainly not giving up on Kyryl
We’re not looking for a double-digit scorer as much as ‘do your job, rebound the ball, play great post defense, bring energy, make a 15-footer.’ He’s struggled out of the gate.
Our practices have been OK ... We're really trying to become a better team. We have a lot of things to improve on.
At the end of the day, we're a team like New Mexico State, that's trying to play nine or 10 players ... We need contributions from everybody, from our bench and we need guys to come into the game with confidence and add value to what we're doing.
