When he plays well, we play well ... As he goes, we go. A read for me is going to be, 'How productive is he?' Right away at Minnesota, you could tell he was engaged. He was hurt, but he still was making plays.
We need him, and hopefully he can get healthy and give us quality minutes
I think the majority of it (finding consistency) has to come within ... The thing we have to do a better job of is handling adversity, handling runs. You have to be able to stop those runs and make better decisions during those runs.
They’re a more confident team. ... They know they can beat anybody anywhere in our league, and they’ve proven that
You can see the up and down of each team in this league ... Put in one film and you’d think we’re great. Put in the next film, not so great.
It was kind of a tale of two halves ... We were fortunate to be able to grind it out.
It is good to see Terone move a little bit better out there and look more fluid ... We need him to provide a spark off the bench and be aggressive when it’s there.
They'll space you out and create a lot of trouble with their ability to break you down off the dribble and create for themselves and each other
The last two years, we've had some success ... It's also great to get quality opponents in early December and not have to worry about scheduling, which is something coaches complain a lot about.
Both of them give us versatility
One of our biggest concerns is rebounding, and we didn’t turn it over and we gave ourselves more of a chance when some shots didn’t go down by getting 19 offensive rebounds ... As long as those two can work together we’re going to put ourselves in a pretty good position.
With Ryne and Rob, both of those guys have been consistent in their careers beyond the arc ... Actually I thought Ryne and Rob hurt our offense at times by passing up some of those looks. I know they want to be unselfish and move the basketball but when you’re going to get a wide-open look in rhythm it ...
I think for him it’s just trying to get some polish as a basketball player
All three of those guys are different guys ... Sandi is a big guy who would like to get the ball in the post some and dive to the rim. Travis is more of a face-up guy. With Jacob’s athleticism, I think he has tremendous upside to be a very good player at this level and he’s just scratching the surface.
I thought our guys for the most part were ready to play ... Especially to start the second half because it’s difficult for both teams after traveling back from Puerto Rico.
We've played them the last two years, but they have really improved defensively
I thought we did a good job of competing ... I think we have some guys who play hard and we have good senior leadership.
I felt that our guys did a good job
Normally, the difference is your ability to stop people ... I don't think that was the case here.
It was a very tough, physical game against a very good Temple team with a lot of experience ... It was big-time challenge for us. It was one of those games where you never felt comfortable.
Lewis Jackson stepped up ... His ability to make some pull-ups really put them on their heels a little bit, because that’s what they were giving him. He stepped up and really made some plays.
I've gone back and forth about it
We were getting to the rim on some ball-screen action ... But they were clogging that up, so we wanted to bring somebody from behind, and Jacob Lawson did a good job of screening for Rob. Lewis did a good job of finding him. We wanted to get it in Lew's hands, and if he couldn't get to the rim, we wante...
