We don't want a lockout ... We don't want our fans to not experience our game. We want to play basketball. That's what we love to do and that's what a lot of us have been blessed to do. There's no desire on our part to not play basketball in 2011-2012. At the same time, we understand that collective bar...
The Saints evidently believe that Fisher can give them insight into claiming back-to-back titles. With five rings to wear on his fingers, which include a three-peat from earlier this decade and the last two NBA championships, it's hard to argue with...
Fisher has been a brillant 3-point shooter while helping the Los Angeles Lakers win five NBA championships, but he also plays a rugged defensive game that makes one wonder what whether he could have been an equally effective linebacker. It's too late...

I don’t want to say I was frustrated; I don't think that’s the right word
Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade dined at the Meatpacking spot with a group of friends ... Nearby were Denver Nuggets star Carmelo Anthony, Cavaliers star Anderson Varejao and the Lakers' Derek Fisher.
Every decision I make for the most part is a life decision
As long as you've got Kobe on that team ... and Derek Fisher on that team and Pau Gasol and coach (Phil) Jackson and his staff, I'm picking the Lakers.
I spent my entire adult life here and it feels like home ... It was a lot of outside just the lakers that really just factored into my decision.
Is it meaningful for a union to have guys like Derek Fisher and Adonal Foyle making rules for guys like LeBron James and Kobe Bryant? ... In the NBA, you have 10 guys like Kobe, LeBron, D-Wade -- and you're stretching it to say it's 10. And you've got 300 guys like Derek Fisher. So the question is, does...
I think we can lead our team to another championship this season ... and that was a big motivating factor.

I just felt it was important for him to understand my thoughts as the process unfolded

While this may not be the most lucrative contract I’ve been offered this off season ... it is the most valuable.
Steve Nash is a great player who plays well against the Lakers. He plays effortlessly and seems to find small seams in our defenses and penetrates with abandon. He makes our guards defend hard everytime we meet the Suns. He's one player I would love to play with the Lakers...if Derek Fisher retires.
Kobe Bryant asked me to stay but supported whatever decision I made ... He and I have played together for 11 seasons, came into the league together as kids, and (he) has been loyal to me even when others had doubts. We have won five championships together. ... Let the hunt for six begin.
Outside of Kobe Bryant, Derek Fisher is the best closer on this Laker team.
While this may not be the most lucrative contract I've been offered this offseason, it is the most valuable
Time and time again, Derek Fisher has come up with the big shot when the Lakers needed it.
I'm especially pleased Derek Fisher, of the World Champion Los Angeles Lakers, will be coming to the USA Pavilion in July.
I am confident I will continue to lead this team on and off the court. Let the hunt for six begin.
Derek Fisher agrees to terms with the Lakers.
I took time to consider all my options, many not reported in the media
While this may not be the most lucrative contract I've been offered this off season
Because that is the contract that an owner signed and the player is entitled to that money
