It definitely builds a sense of community
In order to hire the proper number of individuals to handle the needs of the city, it's imperative that we provide some personal service contracts
Right now I'm not convinced that mayoral control is the best way to go ... People are ready for something different and they're ready for change. And I support that. But I need to know what we're going to be supporting, rather than just simply saying our schools are ready for change.
Even though they may be facing challenges, they're helping those less fortunate ... They embody what we look for in a Detroit citizen: selflessness, compassion, sense of duty and resilience.
We're saying point blank that this is the budget that you wanted, Mr. Mayor ... These are the amendments that you put forward, and we're gonna hold you accountable for it. But the citizens have to hold all of the leadership of the city accountable.
I'll be meeting half way ... People put us in this position because they were looking for leadership. We have to get behind politics and egos.
