Russia (Russian: Росси́я, Rossiya; pronounced [rʌ'sʲi.jə]), also the Russian Federation (Росси́йская Федера́ция, Rossiyskaya Federatsiya; [rʌ'sʲi.skə.jə fʲɪ.dʲɪ'ra.ʦɪ.jə], listen (help·info)), is a country that stretches over a vast expanse of Eurasia.
