Toby really epitomizes everything that the Heisman Trophy stands for ... He put our team on his back this year. Toby is a shining star for our football team.
Everybody who talks about the Sun Bowl talks about what a first-class experience it is for all involved ... It's a tremendous honor, a great accomplishment by our football team that we played well enough to get into a bowl game against Oklahoma.

There's a sense of pride there that our football team played well enough to be matched against Oklahoma in a bowl game ... It's big.
He put our team on his back this year ... He is an incredible back. The Pac-10 has had a lot of great backs ... and none of them had more touchdowns than he did this year. I think that speaks volumes about the kind of season he had.
I'm very excited for Willie, and also for Western Kentucky University
Our mindset has been like an NFL playoff mentality with this game being the championship game ... It's kind of put up or shut up time. We talked about that last week. It's that way this week too. If we win, we stay in the hunt for the Pac-10 championship. If we don't we're out of it. We haven't left our...

Our mind-set has been like an NFL-playoff mentality, this game being the championship game ... If we win, we stay in the hunt for the Pac-10 championship. If we don't, we're out of it. We haven't really left ourselves any exit strategy.
Toby represents everything the Heisman Trophy represents ... He literally takes our football team on his back. Not only should he be in the discussion, but based on what he's accomplished, he should win it.
Our mindset has been that it's like an NFL playoff situation ... Each week is put-up-or-shut-up time. The way you stay in the discussion is you stay alive. If you don't, then you're out. That's kind of where we're at.
To me ... when you look at the criteria for what the Heisman Trophy is - that is Toby Gerhart and the kind of year he's having. ... He should win the thing.
We're looking at this right now as compared to the NFL playoffs
Our goal is to win the Pac-10 championship ... We're still alive for that. We'll go next week down to USC and play a great football team down there and try to keep those hopes alive.
Our goal has been to win the Pac-10 championship and we're still alive for that

There are not a lot of them out there, NFL-caliber tight ends
Now that you're in these Pac-10 games, any part of the game can get you beat or help you win ... You've got to come off the bus ready to play.
Oregon State's offense did a good job keeping us off the field in the first half and second half
All day we couldn't get pressure on their quarterback ... Oregon State's offense did a good job of keeping us off the field.
