AJ Burnett trade has a “soft deadline” of this Saturday. All that said about Tex, this year he’s likely to be only the 5th best offensive first baseman in the AL. I agree. Tex is still very much in his prime and I don’t see him as a drain on the lineup.

How it shakes out, I cant predict. Right now, CC Sabathia, Ivan Nova, Phil Hughes, A.J. Burnett and Freddy Garcia are slotted ahead of Noesi, but that's hardly a closed case. He is going to compete with all those guys and with the guys who currently, allegedly have spots
