When I was told I was going to receive a high British honor, for a few giddy days I thought I was actually going to be knighted. But then it was explained to me that the BAFTAs are like the Academy Awards for British people, which is what I thought the Golden Globes were.
We're not suing, but they not only stole the idea, they stole Troy Miller, one of our original producers, to do the Oscars.

I met him first at the Academy Awards, actually, for The Hurt Locker. He sat in front of me, and he saw The Town before I saw it and said he loved it. He's a very, very complimentary, loving dude.
