That was tough ... especially in this league and especially against the Pittsburgh Steelers. You have to get those points. Was I surprised? I had two cracks at it.

I'm competing with the best, and I want to be the best ... I know I'm competing with Adrian Peterson, and that's important to me.
That was one of the main things coming into the game ... Those guys were 0-4, we were coming off a big win in a short week. This is the NFL. If you don't come in prepared, you get beat.
I am blessed. When you have Adrian Peterson and Brett Favre, maybe the best quarterback in the history of the game...I am living the dream right now and I am blessed.
You just look at the bigger picture ... And knowing it is the NFL, any time you come and aren't focused or ready to play, you can get beat. A lack of focus won't be an issue for us this week.
I think here I learned about toughness ... Being able to block. Up there teams respect you a lot if you can block. We have a dynamic running back in Adrian Peterson, so being able to block for him is big.
Coming up against these guys, it's a Monday night game, a big rivalry to take a firm hold right now on our divisional lead, it's a big game ... Not only for Brett but for the Minnesota Vikings. But inside I definitely want to get this win for him, too.
Calvin affects the coverages we see and everything that teams do against us, because they always have to account for him ... That’s true of every great player. For Minnesota, Adrian Peterson is a great running back that opens up the passing game because teams have to focus on him. Calvin does that for u...
This is a big game coming up Monday night, big rivalry, an opportunity to take a firm hold in the divisional lead - it's a big game not only for Brett but for the Minnesota Vikings
Kevin is our workhorse running back, and he's going to get most of the carries ... We've always wanted to get Maurice some work. That's the case everywhere. As great as Adrian Peterson is, Chester Taylor gets a lot of carries. We don't see this as a 50-50 split, but in this game, injuries kind of pushed...
When we left San Francisco last time, I was trying to look ahead on the schedule and see when we played those guys again
We did a pretty good job of containing and shutting down Adrian Peterson, but we didnt pressure the quarterback as much as we needed to ... I think that was obvious. So weve got to do like we did the first (game): Stop Adrian Peterson, but weve got to do a better job of getting pressure on Brett.

Adrian Peterson and Favre definitely present a big challenge for us ... I think their perimeter is really playing very well. [Sidney] Rice has been extremely productive at the wide receiver spot. All of that stuff factors into your game planning.
It's always exciting to be the 'other' team ... Even though we won the Super Bowl, all you see is that we're playing Brett Favre and Adrian Peterson. Nobody expects us to win. We're not a sexy pick. We get no respect. That's our mentality.
Two of the NFL's biggest stars are playing in Minnesota — Brett Favre and Adrian Peterson ... You've got a hall of fame quarterback who came out of retirement to play in Minnesota. It takes away (negative) perceptions about playing in the Twin Cities. What's important to players is the culture, the oppo...
You can’t focus on one thing ... If you focus on the run, Brett Favre will beat you downfield with guys like Sidney Rice. If you focus on the pass, Adrian Peterson can run the ball. You have to balance it out and maybe try to stop both.
Arguably the best football player in the world right now is Adrian Peterson
Sidney possesses all of the natural ability ... It definitely helps having Brett Favre and Adrian Peterson with him, but he's so gifted. His potential is off the charts. It was just a matter of time until he has the confidence. He's playing with a lot of confidence now - you see what he did (Sunday). An...
He kind of false-started himself and I was like, 'I wish I would have had that one before the timeout,' ... But you've got to believe and I was telling Adrian Peterson right before the kick that we were going to win the game.
He can play physically and he can also finesse, which is what you want ... He took the ball off Adrian Peterson and ran it in for a touchdown (vs. the Vikings) and gave us good pressure today. He's given us a playmaker.
It's almost more about Brett Favre than Adrian Peterson because the Ravens' corners have been a weak spot. So far, Favre is throwing with a lot of zip and accuracy. The Vikings have had problems covering tight ends so Joe Flacco should have a security blanket in Todd Heap. The Ravens' offensive line, wi...
We were one of the better run defenses in the league last year ... But you get a good running back like Michael Turner, Adrian Peterson, it raises your level of play. These are guys you want to stop. We have a lot of pride, so when we go out there and guys get under 100 yards rushing, for us that's a hu...
Adrian Peterson is just phenomenal ... He's hard to attack, he's amazingly fast. You've got to be completely sound in your run defense, and you've got to play great team run defense. You've got to run to the ball, you've got to play great team run defense.
Adrian Peterson is on his way. Of course, due to our lovely Minnesota weather and the lovely snowfall, we're already getting he's a little behind
