Virginia Tech fans sold 31,200 tickets against Alabama, and 4,000 against Georgia Tech ... They were here Friday night and left Sunday. The team and the fans, we believe, would be enthusiastic about an entire week of a bowl experience. Virginia Tech fans support their team in bowls very well.
In looking at Florida and Alabama players that came out of those schools last year, you can’t help but look at the underclassmen that are there ... There is a lot of talent.
There's a bunch of great players on both teams. Florida has so much speed. I think you'll see Alabama will out-scheme Florida and Florida has given up 28 sacks this year when a bunch of guys come free. But the problem is Superman (Tim Tebow) is back there. It comes down to can you tackle him
Great returner, both kickoff and punt ... Offense/defense, they’re on top of the league. This is two good teams. Florida and Alabama are right there in defensive statistics. It’s all 1-2, Florida and Alabama. They’re a really good team and what you’d expect to represent the West.
Coach Urban Meyer said Tuesday that defensive end Carlos Dunlap will miss Saturday's Southeastern Conference Championship against Alabama.
He's one of the best players in college football ... He was MVP of last year's title game. He is a type of player where Alabama's offense must identify where he is, they must help whoever is blocking him with tight ends and running backs and his absence will change the strategy of the football game.
This is the largest dollar amount decrease in the history of the Alabama Public Service Commission
Whether it is providing easy access to funding or abolishing punitive taxes on our farms, we need to make sure our agricultural community has the tools it needs to remain a major driver of our local economies ... I applaud this move by the Senate and look forward to working with my colleagues in the Hou...
I just don't see it happening ... There may be a little snow northwest of us in northwest Tennessee and southwest Kentucky, but I don't expect any in northwest Alabama.
It's relative ... I'm not playing certain teams in certain conferences, but if I am, I'm going to play a dangerous Sun Belt team at home like South Alabama or Arkansas-Little Rock
Unlike Florida, the state of Alabama has decided to allow energy exploration
I doubt if anybody in the country is playing better than him ... I look at the running back at Alabama (Mark Ingram) and he is mighty good, but Spiller is such a dynamic player. The happiest I was during the game was when he was off the field because I knew he couldn’t get the ball. We talked all week a...

We're very concerned about the impact of widespread H1N1 influenza, including the 34 documented deaths in Alabama ... Research indicates that it is far safer to receive the vaccination than to become ill with the disease. We encourage everyone to be vaccinated as soon as vaccine becomes available.
Mitt Romney took office at a time of economic crisis and he turned things around for his state ... I will do the same in Alabama. Mitt Romney was a leader in improving education as governor, and I will be, too. As a candidate for president, Mitt Romney stood up the values of faith and family and defende...
The discussion in Alabama sounds like it's, frankly, in a time warp
I think we sort of played reactionary in the game ... That's not really the way we want to play football at Alabama. We want to play every play like it has a history and life of its own and try to dominate and play that way all the time and not have any complacency at all in terms of how we play. That's...
Even in a worldwide recession, Alabama continues to prove that we have the most skilled, efficient work force making the highest quality products anywhere in the world. Every year Democrats create a new diversion to hide their epic failure on the promises that they made in 2006 ... Until the majority fulfills their commitment to the people of Alabama and join Republicans in passing strong anti-corruption legislation, any claim of legislative success serves only as empt...
People were trying to make it that type of game (Florida-Alabama for a national title berth) back in September ... If I remember right, both teams were picked to make it to the championship game. ... It is going to be, I can't think of bigger football game that we've been a part of.
It's a darn shame Alabama and Florida have to play the SEC championship game ... It should be the national championship game.
Alabama A&M, Florida A&M and Jacksonville State all won their conferences just like us ... So, obviously they are very good teams that cannot be taken lightly.
