The sinker was just, at times it was good, and then we missed a few ... Like [Alex Rodriguez] and [Jose] Molina getting hit were just sinkers that just slipped out.

It's going to be a balancing of a good mix between veterans and young kids ... We realize that this is New York and our fans demand a great team and we are going to have to consistently field a great team with marquee players. That's why last winter we did the Alex Rodriguez deal [$275 million through 2017] because now he's going to be here for a decade. And it's not just that. We're going to have to figure out other ways to generate more revenue.
Obviously, it's going to be easier to pitch against Pedro Martinez or Alex Rodriguez ... That's just the way it is. It's a great opportunity to go out there and throw.
I don't want to speak too soon, but we're taking good at-bats and we're pitching well ... A-Rod's (Alex Rodriguez) picking us up, Jorge (Posada) is picking us up behind me. It definitely feels like we're really starting to put it together.
I've done my homework ... I got off the phone with [Houston pitcher Roy] Oswalt yesterday, talked to [Astros reliever and former teammate Doug] Brocail. It's a good lineup. You have to do your extra homework, because I don't watch these teams play. I don't know how to get Robinson Cano out or Alex Rodriguez out.
