They're a great team. These are the guys that we grew up watching. I grew up watching Derek Jeter in the World Series and Alex Rodriguez in the Kingdome

Beckham is, without a doubt, planetary ... As far as universally recognisable names in sports today, you have David Beckham. After him, who? Tiger Woods. That's about it. Even the big names in US sports - Tom Brady, LeBron James, Alex Rodriguez - are unknowns in international waters. But just about everyone, everywhere, knows who David Beckham is.
So if this rule were applied to major league baseball against the Yankees, you'd be facing Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez in every inning from then on, and with Robinson Cano and Melky Cabrera on base already
While Bob the Baseball Dog is more than prepared for his big debut, we all have to remember that very few players hit a home run in their first at-bat ... Alex Rodriguez hit .204 in his first taste of the major leagues and John Elway went 1-for-8 with an interception in his first NFL game, so while we expect Bob to become a superstar bat dog for years to come, Saturday is really just about getting his paws wet as an on-field performer.
The Yankees, behind A-Rod [Alex Rodriguez] and [Derek] Jeter? Maybe not ... Making the majors is the goal, if not with the Angels, then you want to play for someone else. It can affect you, though; be in the back of your mind.
Inside? It was at his head ... Inside are the pitches I was throwing to Alex (Rodriguez) - I think Youk has some decent success . . . maybe took some good swings at him. It’s just one of those deals. They have a way of working themselves out.

It's much better now and it's getting better ... The hitting coaches like Victor Rodriguez have helped me a lot. I need to be more consistent at the plate. If I hit .280 or .290, I think I can be in the big leagues. I'm trying to be more like Manny [Ramírez] and David Ortiz and Alex [ Cora]. Those guys are so patient at the plate. They helped me a lot. They're great players, every one of them.
