I think we are going to go all the way [to the World Series] for one reason: production ... We got [Alex Rodriguez], and the numbers he's been able to put up, it's incredible. And [Derek] Jeter's having an MVP season, and we've got the best rotation you have seen since 2003. It's really something you li...

Yankee fans are happy to have movie star Kate Hudson around the Major League Baseball scene, especially as long as her boyfriend, Alex Rodriguez . . . continues this blissful bloom of a postseason
It started at the absolute bottom ... A lot of people ran hard the other way. I said some things at the press conference in Baltimore when I came back. I didn't expect anyone to take me at my word and rightfully so. Overall, I stayed to the plan. I had convictions behind my words.
It is a difficult thing to do ... Especially with the Division Series and the League Championship Series, it's not easy. Philadelphia was a great team. Anaheim was a great team. And Minnesota. You have to beat three great teams. I'm just glad it happened. I was proud to be part of a world championship t...

There's no question ... I've never had a bigger hit. But if you look at what Mark Teixeira and I had done in this World Series, not much, it just tells you what a great balanced team we've had all year.
I think I made an adjustment after the first two games ... What I was doing was very simple, I was expanding the strike zone, and that's something that I didn't do against Minnesota or Anaheim. When I get good pitches to hit and I put a good swing on it, good things usually happen.
I will say this, that the one time I got hit in yesterday's game, my first at-bat, kind of woke me up a little bit and just reminded me, 'Hey, this is the World Series, let's get it going a little bit,' ... So it worked out.
You look at what Mark Teixeira and I have done in this World Series, it's not much
It’s obviously nice to get it out of the way ... It’s like the first hit I got this year in the post-season against Minnesota. That got me going a little bit. Overall, the game plan is simple: swing at strikes. If I swing at strikes I can do a lot better.
What is the value of a No. 1 starter? ... Well, we are not here without CC Sabathia.
We wouldn't be here if we didn't have CC Sabathia ... When you have a No. 1 [starter] and you have great pitching, it affects your defence, it affects your offence, it affects your approach and patience at the plate. Without him, we're not here.
I'm so excited to have the opportunity to win a World Series
His improvement in the last two years has been phenomenal ... I don't remember seeing one player improving so much over time. It's been very limited action because he's been in the National League. But he's not only the slugger Ryan Howard, now he's a great-hitter-with-great-power Ryan Howard.

I've only played in Philadelphia once, so I don't know much about that
No doubt, they have an American League lineup
He's been unbelievable ... Gold Glove is an understatement for Mark Teixeira. He's a guy that can change the game with his glove two or three times every nine innings.
I love that. I see the Boys & Girls club, that's where I grew up ... I'm going to be biased toward that. I think it's great. Anything we can do to help out in the community. We did that with Hope Week here during the season. Obviously Major League Baseball is doing their part and I'm glad to be part of ...
It's been a dream of mine since I was five years old to play in the World Series ... In order to win the World Series, you have to get there, and we've done that now.
