I spoke direct to AFL chairman Mike Fitzpatrick and chief executive officer Andrew Demetriou and they made it clear that the sanctions that had been in place have now been lifted

There is absolutely no point in saying anything to Andrew Demetriou, who is arrogant and just would refuse to listen to anybody, particularly somebody from Sydney
It's got nothing to do with it. Andrew (Demetriou) is on record saying that he likes a day grand final. It's not going to change while Andrew's CEO and it probably won't change with anyone else. With the preliminary finals, I haven't heard any traditional argument (against night matches) and it's just a fact that more people can get to the game and more people can watch it.
The Peace Team is funded by the Peres Center for Peace and the East Jerusalem-based Al-Quds Association for Democracy and Dialogue. The idea for the team originated when James Demetriou, brother of AFL Chief Executive Andrew Demetriou, was introduced to the Peres Center during a visit to Israel. Andrew Demetriou, yes is the CEO, but I believe ultimately this decision will be made by the commissioners, and certainly over the next six weeks I'll be aiming to meet with them all, and put forward Tasmania's compelling case

Our fans across the country have supported the game in record numbers in 2008, in attending AFL matches, in watching games, in making the financial commitment to support an AFL club and in their desire to get out onto the ground and play the game
We are extremely grateful for the success that our supporters have made of the 150th year of Australia's only truly indigenous game, and it's important that we say thank you to our supporters in 2009.
There are also likely to be many challenges for families in the coming year and we want to ensure that AFL football remains affordable and accessible for as many fans as possible. The mass attendances enjoyed by our clubs are a major point of difference between our competition and other sports in Australia and they will continue to be our highest priority
Historically, we have increased our general admission prices by CPI but we decided not to do that for 2009 in part as a way of saying thank you to the supporters of our clubs and the game for the role they played in making this year such an outstanding success
The club is going through a process but the playing group have not been asked a great deal about it
To get him back in the workforce which he loves. It's a very important step in his recovery and where he ends up playing, I have no preference whatsoever.
