I told them it would not be held against them and it should not be held against Andrew Flintoff, Steve Harmison or any other England players if they decide they are not prepared to go

We saw when Andrew Flintoff got going just what could be achieved with a more muscular approach, but his cameo came too late. If you get off to a bad start in a 22-over match, you will always be playing catch-up cricket
England never looked like being in with a chance. Andrew Flintoff, Owais Shah and Paul Collingwood got important runs under pressure but that would never have been enough.
Owais Shah batted fantastically today., Freddie (Andrew Flintoff) helped him out with some good contributions.
I don't think there will be a problem with Ryan bowling at the same intensity when he comes back ... If anything I think we will get more out of him than we have. We know he has great control and he can swing the ball both ways. He is an experienced bowler and has the skills we need. The key thing is he gets fit and then gets fit to bowl. His body is saying it is not ready to play cricket. Fast bowlers can pick up niggles – Andrew Flintoff was struggling for some time, but he is back now.
We would have loved to have another session today ... We put in quite a lengthy stint yesterday and have had a few little discussions on where we want to improve. Hopefully we can execute things better.
