I had a really good winter and when I started the season, I was on schedule and perhaps a little bit ahead, but my start hasn’t been so good ... I was sick, I missed two or three days and then a week. That’s when I knew that I had to take it easy.
I really wanted to try ... But against sickness you cannot do a lot. I need to let my body recover from this. This is bad news, I wanted to perform well in Paris-Nice but I'd better not jeopardise the rest of the season.
