Authorities have confirmed that Australian police arrested a man at Brisbane International Airport last night as he was trying to board a plane. The man is being described as a doctor from the Gold Coast Hospital in Southport, about 100km (62 miles) south of Brisbane, and is being detained and questioned in connection with the attempted car bombings in the UK. The 27-year-old man was arrested on the request of British authorities, and is the eighth person arrested over the terror attacks in London and Glasgow.
